Board Lineage   A number of Board descendants have been working to have various members of our branch of the Board family, and their ancestors, approved by lineage organizations. At this time, at least the following have been approved: • James Board and John Board, Junior, by the DAR. A number of other members of this branch of the Board family are also eligible for Patriot status, awaiting descendants to submit the documentation. • Francis Board, Francis Mead, and George Peak by the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century. Francis Board was the father of John Board, Senior; Francis Mead was the grandfather of John Board, Senior; and George Peak was the great grandfather of Jemima Henderson Board, wife of John Board, Senior.
